Who said that global warming would mean long hot summers. 2008 was certainly another wash out but at least the watering was a bit easier! Some plants grew really lush from the regular rain, while others struggled in the unseasonal cool temperatures. Gardening with tropicals in the UK is a lot about trial and error and a challenge to find out what grows best for you in your own garden. It looks as if we will all have to get used to the predicted extremes of weather as global warming takes hold and January to February this year has really been an eye opener with the worst winter for years!
We are approaching the peak seed sowing season for both flower seeds and vegetable seeds now, so please get your orders in early enough not to miss the early part of the season.
